Tishie Mae Simpson Caudle

Mrs. Tishie Mae Simpson Caudle, age 96 of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully June 17, 2026 at Ridgecrest Retirement Community. She was born in Surry County, August 2, 1929, the daughter of Lacy and Maggie Edwards Simpson. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to being a talented seamstress she worked with her husband, Guy, at Caudle’s Food Store until her retirement. She was a member of Bannertown Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Nancy Caudle Stone and her husband Harold (Stonie) of Mount Airy, NC, James Robert Caudle II and his wife, Myrna of Catawba NC; 6 grandchildren, Maggie Stone Moore (Geoff) of Terrell, NC, Brian Lee Stone (Lindsay) of Franklin, TN, Camille Caudle Ellis of Charlotte, NC, Mandy Bazemore (Bryan) of Charlotte, NC, Laurel Bobka (Trevor) of Walkersville, MD, Megan Prokupek (Jeremy) of Statesville, NC; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, James Simpson, Leonard Simpson (Katye); many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Caudle, brothers, Wilford Simpson and Max Simpson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026, 12:00 PM, at Bannertown Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Cogdill officiating. Interment will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will visit with friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017, Bannertown Baptist Church 1834 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to Brenner Children’s Hospital NICU Unit, 1 Medical Center Blvd., Winston Salem, NC 27157. Mrs. Caudle’s arrangements are entrusted to Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy.
