John "Bobby" R. Kelley

John R. “Bobby” Kelley, 75, of Roanoke, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Owen G. “Red” and Mildred Poff Kelley; brothers, Donald W. “Don” Kelley and Owen G. Kelley, Jr.

Bobby was the owner of Kelley Vault Company for many years.

Bobby is survived by his wife Dianne Kelley; sons, John R. “Duke” Kelley, and Andrew S. Kelley; step-sons, Toby Duncan and Scot Duncan; grandchildren, Christopher Duncan, Sarah Akers, Caleb Duncan, Jordan Duncan, Brandon Duncan, Scarlett Duncan, Jenna Kelley, Trey Kelley, Drew Kelley, McKenzie Kelley; sister-in-law Judy Kelley; special friends, Barton Reynolds and Chester Melvin.

The family would like to thank the staff at Springtree Health & Rehab for the care they gave to Bobby.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Bobby’s name to Future Care and Education for Wyatt Duncan Fund, in memory of James Duncan.

Services will be Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 1 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time. Interment will be private at Bandy Cemetery.
