John Willard Walker

John “Johnny” Willard Walker Jr., 78, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on June 23, 2026. John was born in Danville, VA on June 6, 1948 to the late Nora Saunders Walker and the late John Willard Walker Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Mrs. Toni Crane Walker.

John was of the Christian Faith. He was a 1966 graduate of Dan River High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and Virginia Army National Guard, retiring in 2003 after 22 years of service.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by two daughters; Amy W. Masri (Roger) of Christiansburg, VA and Kelly W. Scearce of Dry Fork, VA; a step daughter; Kelly B. Talbard (Brad) of Chatham, VA; a sister; Carolyn W. Chilton (Lee) of Danville, VA; 6 grandchildren; 1 step granddaughter; 1 great grandson; and his special Fur baby; Rudi Rose.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Pittsylvania County Pet Center, at 11880 U.S. Highway 29, Chatham, VA 24531

Per his request there will be no Formal Service held. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life Service at the residence at a later date.
