Leonard Emmett Washburn

Leonard Emmett Washburn III passed away July 4, 2026. Born December 27, 1967, in Wayne County, Michigan, to the late Leonard Washburn Jr. and Gwen Carter Washburn. Leonard was an avid dirt racing and Harley Davidson fan. Always there to lend a helping hand, Leonard was someone you could always count on. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Beverly Summitt Washburn; sons, Brian Richardson Jr., Wesley Richardson, and Lee Stelmash; brother, Chris Washburn; several nieces and nephews, who he adored; special cousin, Jim Foster; and brother-in-law, Mike Summitt. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Beaty Washburn. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Field of Grace Baptist Church at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour before the memorial service, at the church, from 11:00 until 12:00 PM. Following a services, a meal will be provided. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the family.
