Elizabeth Marie Ashby Huemoeller

Elizabeth Marie Ashby Huemoeller, 98, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, surrounded by her family. Elizabeth was born in Danville, VA on November 28, 1927 to the late Carrie Hill Ashby and the late Joesph Ashby. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Leslie Martin Huemoeller.

Elizabeth was of the Christian Faith, and a faithful member of New Life Community Church. She worked for many years as the manager of Buddy Dale Hat Shop, previous to her retirement.

Elizabeth is survived by three daughters; Rebecca “Becky” Davis of Danville, VA, Linda Boelte and husband David of Vernon Hill, VA, and Annette Beggarly and husband Rusty of Dry Fork, VA; a step son; Leslie Minter and wife Marijo of Minnesota; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by a son; Michael Huemoller.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 11:00am, at Norris Mt. Hermon chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Mike Wiles officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA. A visitation will be held on the same day just prior to the service from 10-11:00am, also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.
