Betty Ann Mauk Hauser

Betty Ann Mauk Hauser, 86, of Salem, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on July 12, 2026.

Born on October 25, 1939, to Joseph and Mamie Mauk, Betty lived a life centered on family, hard work, and caring for those around her. She built a successful career in office management and built herself a legacy that continues to this day.

Betty found her greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was most at home when tending her garden, preparing home-cooked meals, and opening her home to family and friends.

Above all else, Betty’s greatest love was her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Sonny” Hauser, and her daughter, Debbie Hauser.

She is lovingly remembered by her beloved son, Greg Hauser; her grandson, Chris Hauser, who was her pride and joy; her granddaughter-in-law, Taylor Pike-Hauser; and her precious great-granddaughter, Rowan Hauser. The love she shared with her family will continue through them.

Above all, Betty will be remembered for her generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. Her legacy of strength, kindness, and love will remain in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
