Betty Lawrence Rea

Betty Lee Lawrence Rea, 85, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. She was born on December 20, 1940, in Callands, Virginia, to the late Bee Lawrence and Louise Adkins Lawrence. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Rea; and siblings, Evelyn Lawrence, Joyce Lawrence, Luwana Lawrence, Jack Lawrence, Morris Lawrence, and Vernon Lawrence.

Betty attended Old Well Christian Church and worked as a setter for many years.

She is survived by her two sons, James Rea and Dwayne Rea; and her sister, Judy Lawrence Snow.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, at Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville. A Graveside service will immediately follow at Lawrence Adkins Family Cemetery, 5205 Sago Road, Chatham, VA 24531.
