Mildred Estelle Wimbush Manns

Mildred Estelle Wimbush Manns, 93, of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Basset, VA transitioned on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Levine-Dickson Hospice Home In Huntersville, NC. She was born January 8, 1933 in Patrick County, VA a daughter of the late Lawyer and Pencie Via Wimbush. in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Manns.

She was retired from the Henry County Public Schools as a bus attendant and was a member of Gethsemane Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served on the Mother's Board, Usher and Choir ministries. While residing in Charlotte she became a member of Hudson Grove AME Zion Church in Charlotte, NC where served as Church mother and a Honorary Deaconess.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Arreia (Michael) Dawson, of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Shirley (George) Clemmons, of Salem, VA; two brothers, Matthew (Patricia) Wimbush, of Bassett, VA; and George (Donna) Wimbush of Bassett, VA.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Gethsemane Pentecostal Holiness Church in Basset with Bishop Gordon Warren, officiating. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one half hour prior to the funeral. A public viewing will be held Monday, July 20, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services.
