Douglas Paul Fry

Douglas P. Fry, Jr., 55, of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 19, 2026. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy C. Loar; step-father, Harold Loar; sister, Teresa Pinkard; grandparents, Paul G. Fry and Gracie B. Fry and James P. Catron and Mary H. Catron.

Douglas is survived by his father Doug Fry, Sr. (Nancy Fry); daughters, Clara Fry and Gracie Fry; son, Zachary Fry; as well as numerous cousins and other family and friends.

He had a love of all things Tony Stewart and Nascar, and a love of fishing.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Douglas’s name to the American Cancer Society (3723 Franklin Road SW Roanoke, VA 24014).

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 11 am at Sherwood Memorial Park Salem, Virginia with Pastor Stephen Willis officiating.
