Patti Esperti

Patti Esperti, 70, of Salem, Va., went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Patti was born on Sunday, August 21, 1955, in Rocky Mount, Va., to the late Pat and Mary Jane Esperti. In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her husband, Don Fitzgerald. Patti loved her family, her friends, and enjoying the sunshine. She acted as president of the Roanoke Valley Shag Club, where she made many friendships. Patti loved bingo and relaxing at the beach. Above all, Patti adored her family. She loved to simply spend time with her family and friends, making many cherished memories. Patti adored all her grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews especially. She gave so much love to her family and those around her, and she will be dearly missed. Left to treasure Patti’s memory are her son, Chris Eanes (Morgan); sister, Terri Naff (Abe); grandchildren, Caeden and Bodhi; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. A service will be held in memory of Patti on August 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at Eastgate Church of the Nazarene, 2002 Eastgate Ave. NE in Roanoke. Patti’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice and Sheila Strauss Hospice House, as well as the staff at Friendship North, for their care and comfort which was greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
