Matthew Douglas Mccoy

Matthew Douglas McCoy, 41, of Blacksburg passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026. Matthew was born on June 30, 1985. Matthew is survived by his wife of seven years Shanon McCoy, his sons Nathaniel McCoy, Nicholas McCoy and Noah McCoy, His mother Melinda McCoy Slusser and Steve Slusser, Sister Harlie Clinch (Jermey), Brothers Billy Graham and Ethan Slusser (Michelle), His grandmother Sharon McCoy, His step grandfather Wayne Slusser, His in laws Judy & Walter Childs, Sister in law Lena Childs, both brother in laws Ian Childs (Christina) and Dyllin Childs (Lindsay). A couple lifelong friends Laura Kregloe and Christina Cummings, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Matthew predeceased by his father Douglas Melvin, paternal grandparents Larry Melvin and Jewel Abbott, maternal grandparents Andrew McCoy and Frank Wilkins. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel.
