Shirley Ann Adams

Shirley Ann Adams, 70, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was born on November 1, 1955, to the late Calvin Brown and Veola Gravely Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice Ann Gravely, and her brother, Raymond Calvin Brown.

Shirley was a graduate of Laurel Park High School, Class of 1974. She retired after many years as a Customer Sales Representative for Nautica. She was a member of Galilean House of Worship.

She is survived by her husband, Winfred Adams; three sons, Deshannon Keith Adams, Antonio Jermaine Adams, and Brandon Dontea Adams; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel at 1:00 PM, with Bishop Michael Penn officiating. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.

At the request of the family, they will only receive friends during the time of visitation on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 12:30 PM.
