Clarence Parker Wright, Jr., 96, of Lynchburg, VA passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Born June 18,1930 in Lynchburg, VA, he was the only son of the late Clarence Parker Wright, Sr. and Pearl Robertson Wright.

Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a gifted carpenter who took great pride in his work, owning and operating Wright's Cabinet and continuing to work until he was 85 years old. He was a devoted member of Timberlake Church since 1971 and Moose Lodge 715 since 1974, where he formed many lasting friendships.

Clarence found joy in simple pleasures, especially bus trips to Atlantic City and time spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his quiet faith, his kind and generous heart, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His steady presence and the example he set through a life of hard work, humility, and devotion will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Clarence leaves behind his beloved wife of 75 years, Lois Davis Wright of Lynchburg; two children, Glenn Wright and Glenda Dix (Mark, Sr.) of Forest; two grandchildren, Mark Dix, Jr. (Raeleen) of Rustburg and Mandy Eckart (Daniel) of Bedford; and five great-grandchildren, Brayden, Payten and Keyten Dix and Kacen and Kensley Eckart.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Estelle Holt officiating and interment to follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service in the chapel.
