Patricia Bowles

Patricia Ann “Patty” Steele Bowles, age 71, of 7813 Johnson Creek Road, Covington, Virginia died on Friday, July 24, 2026 at her residence.

Patty was born on August 7, 1954 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Clayton and Beulah Elizabeth Hooker Steele. She was a homemaker throughout her life and enjoyed sewing and quilting.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Minitree Bowles; a son, Kelly Bowles, Sr.; three brothers, Jerry Steele, Robert Steele, and Richard Steele; and a sister, Judy Wray.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandi Curtis (Frankie) of Covington; her sister, Sandra “Teenie” Martin; her grandchildren, Kelly Bowles, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Gloucester, Amber Farnsworth (Jordan) of Gloucester, Richard McKeel (Becca) of Newport News, Nolan Via of Covington, Hayden Reynolds of Glen Allen, Kennedy “Gracie” Reynolds of Covington, Raylan Jeter of Covington; seven great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and her life partner and caregiver, Harold “Keith” Maynard of Covington;

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Greg Scott officiating, assisted by Reverend Wallace. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends attending the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
