Brenda Royal Craig

Brenda Royal Craig, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on July 27, 2026. Born July 19, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Leff Royal and Juanita Spicer Saul. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren, Michael Hall, Jr. and Victoria Helbert.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Bobby Craig, who also was her main caregiver since 1999; her children, Cindy Hall (Mike), Sherri Helbert (Tim), and Wesley Craig (Tracey); her grandchildren, Hailey Richardson (Taylor), Briana Koger (Travis), Logan Hall (Alexis), Bethany Craig (Austin), Cara Helbert, Nathan Hall, and Abi Craig; and her great-grandchildren, Charlotte “Charlie” Richardson and Grace Noelle Craig.

Brenda was of the Christian faith and devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. Prior to becoming disabled in 1999, she spent many years serving in children’s ministries. She also enjoyed puzzles, reading, Southern Gospel music, shopping, dining out, and spending time with those she loved.

A homegoing celebration honoring Brenda’s life will be held Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service, with Dr. Greg Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation for the prayers, love, and support they have received, with special thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for its compassionate care.
