Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Hodges

November 4, 1949 - July 29, 2026

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of our beloved Ronald Edward Hodges, “Ronnie”, “Rooster”, “Rocky” and “Legend”. He was born to James and Faye Hodges on November 4, 1949. Ronald carried many names during 76 years of life, but his most cherished titles were husband, father, and poppa. Ronnie loved nothing more than taking care of his family, or anyone who needed anything. He was a devoted, loving husband, caring father, and poppa. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were so precious to him but he loved no-other the way he loved his beautiful wife, Barbara. He was loved by many and left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, and to know him is to love him. We are beyond blessed to have been given this time with him. Ronnie is preceded in death by his father James; brothers, Marlon and Monty; sister, Sharon, and his beloved mother Faye. He leaved behind his beautiful faithful wife, Barbara of 55 years of marriage. Oldest son, Hunter “Bryan” Hodges (Leslie), son, Chad Hodges, (Susan); daughter, Laura Turner (Alex) and daughter, Autumn (Jeremy); grandchildren Chelsea (Brendan), Brooke (Seth), Summer (Ben), Connar, Gavin, Creed and Averie; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Oden, Callan, Brailyn, and soon to be an additional great-granddaughter and lastly a special friend, Buford “Blu” Hairston whom Ronnie enjoyed and loved deeply. Ronnie was greeted in Heaven on July 29, 2026 while his wife and children sat at his bedside. We write this with heavy hearts, but find peace in knowing the lasting impact he made on everyone he encountered in his life. He brought joy, laughter, and legendary storytelling that can never be replaced.
