Carrie Guynn Gallimore

Carrie Guynn Gallimore, of Max Meadows, died suddenly in the early morning of Thursday, July 30, 2026, at her mother’s home. Gallimore, 59, graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1984 and served in the United States Air Force from 1986 – 1989, stationed in Illinois and Texas. Most recently she worked as a phlebotomist at Carilion Hospital in Radford but retired early, in 2022, to care for her ailing spouse. Carrie is predeceased by her father, Carl Gallimore, and her wife, Janet Compton. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Guynn, of Price’s Fork; two sisters, Virginia and LeAnna Stoner (Jason Howard); and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. They will remember Carrie fondly for her sense of humor and her tendency to give loud presents to small children. A celebration of life will be held on Sept 12, 2026, from 1:30-3:30 at the Guynn and Stoner family homes located at 4567 and 4551 Prices Fork rd Blacksburg VA.
