Jeffrey "Jeff" Lewis Hodges

Jeffrey “Jeff” Lewis Hodges, age 66 of Hardy passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026. He was born June 3, 1960, the son of the late Brady Lewis Hodges and Brenda Hall Nichols. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jordan David Thornhill. Surviving are his wife, Julia Drummond Hodges; step-daughter, Tracy Lynn Clark (Jody); grandson, Elijah Sean Clark; step-mother, Marie Hodges; special niece, Jessica Hodges; many aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of special friends. Jeff worked in the Transportation Department at Franklin County Public Schools for 37 years. He was a volunteer with Franklin County Rescue Squad and Hardy Rescue Squad for 50 years serving as Captain of both departments during his career. Jeff loved riding motorcycles enjoying all the new friends he made along the way. A Celebration of Life will be held at Franklin Heights Church, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026 with Rev. Ronald Coleman and Rocky Mount Fire Chief Justin Woodrow officiating. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Franklin Heights Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local fire department and/or rescue squad. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
