Vickie Lynn Bowers Martin

Vickie Lynn Bowers Martin, 62, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. She was born on February 13, 1964, in Martinsville, Virginia, the late Edward Eugene Bowers and Gloria Dale Willis Bowers, who survives.

Vickie dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. As a homemaker, she found her greatest joy in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She especially enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, watching her favorite soap operas, spending time at the beach, and caring for her children.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Haley Martin (Jacob Gwynn); her son, Robert Bailey (Jessica); her sister, Sherry Custer (Mark); and her grandchildren, Jayce Bailey, Jordyn Bailey, and Jackson Gwynn; other family members and friends.

Although services are private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers, and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
