Gary Winthrop Sabins, 73, of Vinton, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sabins Jr. and Catherine Sabins.
Gary found great joy in the hobbies he loved most. He was an avid model train enthusiast and took great pride in the train layout he built, which ran throughout his living room. He also enjoyed spending time fishing, appreciating the peace and simplicity it brought.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother, John Sabins III (Janet); his nephew, John Sabins IV (Marie); and his niece, Diana Roman (Dustin).
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Moneta, Virginia.
