Aurelia Garnetta Perkins, 78, of Greensboro, NC and formerly of Martinsville, VA departed this life on Friday July 31, 2026 at Richland Square Memory Center in Greensboro, NC. She was born in Henry County, VA on February 8, 1948 a daughter of the late Leroy and Maggie Hairston Perkins.

She was of the Baptist faith and attended Pilgrim Baptist Church until her health declined.

She is survive by one sister Carolyn Preston, of Greensboro, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel with Bishop Avery Preston, officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the funeral.
