Nancy Lawrence Draper

Nancy Lawrence Draper, 87, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2026. She was born on May 20, 1939, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Edgar “Ed” Jenkins Lawrence and Frances Eanes Lawrence. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Garland Draper; sister, “Roslyn” Lucy Lawrence Roberson; and brother, James “Jimmy” Robert Lawrence.

Nancy worked in telecommunications for many years. She was an active member of Granbery Church of Martinsville, Virginia, where she previously served as the treasurer. Nancy was a detail-oriented woman, who spent much of her time organizing her greeting cards, the garage, her kitchen cabinets and more. She loved life and would always find something to laugh about. Her giving heart extended into the community where she enjoyed volunteering for March of Dimes and other outreach activities and ministries.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Draper Woolf (Bill); grandson, Benjamin Woolf; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nancy’s special caregivers, Donna, Janeise, Glenda, Linda, Lynette, and Viola. Your care and compassion is greatly appreciated.

There will be a Visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville, with Pastor Tom Blair officiating. A burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville, Virginia. The service for Nancy will be livestreamed at the “WATCH NOW” link provided below.
