Eddie Dewey Reece

Mr. Eddie Dewey Reece, age 71, of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 21, 1955 in Forsyth County to the late Dewey John Reece and Elsie Mae Reynolds Reece. He was a loving husband who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Tammy Venable Reece; brothers, Larry Reece, and Jimmy Reece (Lisa); sister-in-law Pamela Doggett (Andy); nieces Jennifer Doggett, Donna Heath, and Lorri Ann Beasley (Dale); nephews Eddie Ray Lovill (Genene) and Justin Doggett, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Reece was preceded in death by his parents, as well as sisters Carolyn Reece Whitaker and Geraldine Reece Lovill, niece Deana Lovill, and nephew Dale Heath. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Service chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of the service on Wednesday August 26.
