Marvin Eugene Garrison

Marvin Garrison, 68, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 24, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leta Mae and Charlie Garrison.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Robin Garrison; son, Devin Stevens (Katie); daughters, Jessica Nute (Jake) and Amy Willis (Brian); grandchildren, Kaleb Nute, Travis Nute, Cashton Nute, Sylar Nute, Harleigh Nute, Macon Willis, Phillip Willis, and Virginia Willis; brothers, Ed Garrison (Dot), David Garrison (Connie), and Roger Garrison (Linda); and many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, Marvin was a lifelong football enthusiast and a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. His dedication to work led him to Roanoke, Virginia, in 1988, where he opened the first branch of DuoFast. Marvin dedicated himself to his career for more than forty years.

In 1991, Marvin married his beloved wife, Robin, and lovingly embraced the role of father to three children – Jessica, Amy, and Devin. Together, they shared many cherished memories and milestones, including Marvin’s 68th birthday on August 2nd and their 33rd wedding anniversary on August 19th.

After several years of medical challenges, Marvin’s family was blessed with the opportunity to say their goodbyes on Sunday, August 23rd. His warmth, humor and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family will have a Visitation from 1:00 – 1:45pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019, followed by a Chapel Service at 2:00pm (also at the funeral home). Burial will be private. The Service will be live streamed via the YouTube link at the bottom of the Simpson Funeral Home website: www.simpsonfuneral.com. The link will be accessible 10 minutes prior to the service.
