Herbert Bundy Edson

Herbert Bundy Edson, 65, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was born August 29, 1961, in Meriden, Connecticut, to Elizabeth Lafountain Bard and the late Edward Edson, Sr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Ramond Edson.

After graduating from East Hampton High School in Connecticut, Herbert proudly served his country in the Unites States Navy. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, laughter, and good meals. In quieter moments, he loved to drink coffee, listen to music, and watch movies. Above all, he loved his family.

Herbert is survived by his son, Dustin Edson (Amanda); sisters, Patricia Edson, Kathy Boehm, Wendy Collett; brother, Edward Edson; two grandchildren, Jace and Wyatt; his mother, Elizabeth Bard; and stepfather, John Bard.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel.
