Kenneth Wayne (“Rob” or “Kenny”) Barksdale

Kenneth Wayne Barksdale (also known as “Rob” or “Kenny”) passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the age of 59. Born in Martinsville, Virginia, on April 10, 1967, he was the beloved son of Linda G. Barksdale and the late Kenneth Wayne Robertson.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Amy Barksdale, and Henry and Lucille Lewis; and maternal grandparents, Jack and Maggie Robertson.

Kenneth attended Martinsville High School and loved to work whenever he was able to do so. He loved watching sports and was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. He was also a fan of Superman. Above all, he loved his family and spending time with them.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his brothers, Jeffrey Barksdale (Patricia and Stacey), Tony Moore; aunts, Eva (Mag) Taylor of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jackie Jamison (Wayne) of Martinsville, Virginia; uncle, Everett Lewis of Chicago, Illinois; and special girlfriend, Linda Jordon of Roanoke, Virginia.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel, officiated by Pastor Stephen Campbell.
