Albert H. Price
Albert H. Price was born on January 27, 1949, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Flossie Mae Price and Ernest Howard. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life touched countless people.
From a young age, Albert knew he was destined to accomplish great things. Albert graduated from John Mercer Langston High School in 1967. After graduating high school, he ventured to New York City, where he met the love of his life, Carolyn Robinson. Their love story would become the foundation of a beautiful family. Together, they welcomed their first two children in New York before returning to Virginia, where they settled and began raising their growing family.
In 1976, Albert learned the truth of God’s Word and made those Bible truths his own, and dedicated his life to Jehovah. His faith became one of the most important parts of his life. He was passionate about the ministry and took great joy in teaching Bible truths to everyone he encountered. Albert never met a stranger. He had a warm heart, a welcoming presence, and a genuine love for people. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, his conversations, his humor, and his unwavering desire to share his faith with others.
Albert loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed going to the beach, landscaping, and simply being outside. He found joy in the simple things in life and, most importantly, in spending time with the people he loved.
Albert’s greatest legacy is the family and love he leaves behind. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Carolyn Price, and their six children: Albert Price (Dee) of Greensboro, North Carolina; Dana Williams (Keith) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Dawn Price of Greensboro, North Carolina; Devin Price of Martinsville, Virginia; Dionna Jones (Sean) of Martinsville, Virginia; and Danielle McCoy (Kenneth) of Charlotte, North Carolina.
He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley Johns of Danville, Virginia: Gwen Russell of Butner, NC, his brother Ernest Howard of Christiansburg, VA, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, spiritual family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Flossie Mae Price, Ernest Howard and his sister Janis Inge.
Though our hearts are heavy with his absence, we find comfort in the hope of seeing him again in a beautiful paradise on earth, that is soon to come.
Albert’s life was a testament to love, faith, family, and service to others. He leaves behind not only memories, but a legacy of love that will continue through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives he touched.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 12th at 12:30pm Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 107 Governors Lane Martinsville, VA 24112
