Betty Lou Mcguire Davis

Betty Lou McGuire Davis, 72, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on June 1, 1954 to the late Hurbert McGuire and the late Ida Meadows McGuire. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mr. Michael Lee Davis.

Betty was a member of North Main Baptist. She worked for Dan River Mills for 20 years, and later worked as a Hairdresser for 10 years, at House of Hair Designs, previous to her retirement.

Above all else, Betty was a wonderful and devoted wife, a deeply cherished sister, and an endlessly loving grandmother whose warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family will be forever missed.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by a stepson; Michael Lee Davis II; two step daughters; Lori Rae Minter and LeAnn Davis Dimsdale; two sisters Debbie Hankins; Fushia Carter and five step grandchildren; Gabriel Davis, Sydney Davis, Aiden Bradshaw, Madeline Dimsdale, and Noah Dimsdale; and sister in law; Linda D. Hoskins.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother: Donnie McGuire; six sisters: Dannie Boldon, Cathy Staton, Patsy Ware, Teresa Sharon, Hilda Moss and Joyce Burnett.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, with Pastor Michael Wiles officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Highland Burial Park. A visitation will be held on the same day prior to the service from 12:00pm - 1:00pm also at Noris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. The family at other times will be at 1801 John Drive, Danville, Va. home of sister in-law, Linda Hoskins
