Richard “Richie” Jay Colledge II

Richard “Richie” Jay Colledge II, 47, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026. He was born on January 21, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas, to Richard Jay Colledge and Nancy Reep Cochran (Michael).

Richie was a member of Pocahontas Bassett Baptist Church. He graduated from Patrick & Henry Community College. He worked as a maintenance technician at Atlas Molded Products for eight years.

Richie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He and his wife, Mary enjoyed traveling together, taking weekend trips, and vacationing at the beach and in the Smoky Mountains. He found great joy in being outdoors and looked forward to sitting outside each morning with a cup of coffee. Richie also enjoyed driving his Tacoma, stopping by Starbucks, and enjoyed the “Bigfoot” phenomenon. His beloved fur babies, Ella and Diesel, held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Mary Robertson Colledge; his son, Brandon “Taylor” Colledge (Kaci); his sisters, Stacy Jeanne Colledge and Jordan Michaela Cochran; his grandchildren, Alaina Trinity-Grace Branscom, Kolton Lee Colledge, and Owen Jay Colledge; his fur babies, Ella and Diesel; and a host of cousins, nieces, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, 4:00 PM at Pocahontas Bassett Baptist Church, with Pastor Susan Spangenberg officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
