Emily Elizabeth Morgan

Emily Elizabeth Morgan, 33, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Roanoke, Virginia. She was born on January 30, 1993, in Martinsville, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Wiliams; and grandmother, Janet Williams.

Emily was a 2011 graduate of Bassett High School and recently worked at Carter Bank. She loved to read and especially enjoyed the moments she shared with her daughter, Amelia – where you’d often find them swimming together in their pool or spending time at the dance studio. Emily truly loved being a mom. She chose to stay home with Amelia while she was young, cherishing those years and being there for the everyday moments that meant so much to her. She was proud of her daughter and loved watching her grow and take part in the things she enjoyed. Emily also spent time helping her husband, Roy, with their trucking business. She was always willing to lend a hand and was an important part of helping him with the business and whatever needed to be done.

Emily is survived by her husband, Roy Morgan, III; daughter, Amelia “Millie” Grace Morgan; aunt, Robin Williams; and cousin, Michelle Draper.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4:00 PM, at Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville, with Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. The family will accept guests for two hours prior to the service. The service will be livestreamed and will be available at the “WATCH NOW” link provided below.

In lieu of flowers, Roy kindly requests donation be made to the Henry County Animal Shelter in Emily’s honor.
