Linda Marie Williamson

Linda Marie Williamson departed her life on September 21, 2026, at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem, VA, after a lengthy illness at the age of 63.

Linda was a kind and loving person. She loved to dance and go on trips. Linda was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Dan River High School and worked at Dan River Mills for many years.

Born September 10, 1963, to the late Helena Williamson and Pearl Williamson, she was the granddaughter of the late Pollie Murrell and Alex Murrell. She was preceded in death by her mother Helena Williamson and father, Pearl Williamson, as well as grandparents Pollie Murrell and Alex Murrell. Predeceased members of her family also include four aunts, Nannie Myers, Frances Fuller, Shirley Newsmith Dewey and Ivory Henderson, and five uncles Harvey Ferrell, Sr., Harvey Ferrell, Jr., Clarence Murrell, Robert Murrell, Lenwood Murrell, Willie Davis, Carl Williamson, and Gada Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Desireé Williamson, one granddaughter, LaMari Williamson, Two sisters, Cynthia Williamson and Jada Myers, of Danville, VA, one Aunt Joyce Ferrell of Ringgold, VA, two uncles, James Murrell (Kathy) of Ringgold, VA and Marvin Williamson (Joy) of Danville. She is survived by a very special and devoted cousin, Loretta Fuller of Greensboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at the West End Chapel of Norris Funeral Services, 511 Church Ave., Danville at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2026, officiated by Reverend Anthony Pass. A visitation of friends and family will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service, also at the West End Chapel of Norris Funeral Services.
