Jared Cole Tickle

Mr. Jared Cole Tickle, age 26, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Surry County on January 9, 2000, to Happi Coleman and Brian Tickle. Mr. Tickle “Bedroom Shredder” known by many as an avid guitar player was a loving husband, son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a high school graduate of North Surry High School and even was a proud member of 4 years of the wrestling team, where his teammates knew him as “Gator”, even his coach Mr. Jessup was a big part of his success. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of almost two years, Carrie Hawks Tickle; parents, Happi Coleman and Brian Tickle; brother, Gavin Drake Tickle; maternal grandparents, JoAnne Coleman and Terry; paternal grandparents, Evelyn Tickle and Fred; mother-in-law, Rhonda Brindle and Paul; father-in-law, Joey Hawks and Robin; aunts and uncles, Cheryl Palmer and Mark, Keith Tickle and Kristal; cousins, Raven Coleman, Niki Palmer, and many other special cousins; close friends, Alex, Isaac, Carson, Avery, Mace, and many other friends; brothers-in-law, Corey Hawks, Colter Hawks and Maddy Boyer (Silas). Mr. Tickle was preceded in death by a cousin, Ian Reid Tickle. A celebration of Mr. Tickle’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald LeFevre officiating, along with Eric Jessup speaking. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM until time of the service at New Life Baptist Church 411 New Life Church Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in honor of Jared Cole Tickle “Gator”. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Tickle family.
