Shirley Mae Lewis

Shirley Mae Lewis, 76, of Stuart, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, Virginia. She was born on November 28, 1949, to the late James Arthur Mize and Ruby Mae Crigger Mize.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Rebecca; two sisters, Mary Ruth Lemons and Judy Carol Harris; and two brothers, James Leon Mize and Douglas Arthur Mize.

Shirley was of the Holiness faith. She found happiness in caring for her garden, spending time at the beach, and giving care to others. Her warm and outgoing spirit, along with the love she shared with her family, will remain a treasured part of her memory.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Faye Mitchell; her son, Donald Wayne Pickett; her sister, Brenda Mize Dickson; her nephew, Christopher Gene Hopkins; several grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Fair Haven Memorial Park.
