Marian McCollum

Marian McCollum, 77, of Martinsville, Virginia, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on Friday, September 25, 2026. She was born September 20, 1949, in Eden, North Carolina, to the late Henry McCollum and Mary Stokes McCollum.

Marian was a member of Shiloh Apostolic Temple for over 30 years . She received her associates degree from Rockingham Community College. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in reading her Bible, singing, and attending church. Above all, Marian treasured spending time with her family and those she loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Felisa Turner; grandson, Permaine McCollum; great-grandchildren, Royalti Harris and Sariyah McCollum; sisters, Mary Smith (Leonard) and Ruby Jones; brother, Bishop William McCollum (Janet); sisters-in-law, Shirley McCollum and Inez McCollum; special niece, Faye Simpson; special friends, Helida Kellam, Princess Scales, Mary Kellam, and Lula Womack; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM Wright Funeral Service – Martinsville Chapel with Rev. Roy Kellam officiating.
