Dillard Lester Wood

Dillard Lester Wood, 77, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to his heavenly home Thursday, September 24, 2026.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Martinsville Church of Truth, 1376 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, VA 24112, with Pastor Bill Preskitt officiating.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Galilee Holiness Church, 989 Jot ‘em Down Road, Danielsville, Georgia 30633. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will follow at Danielsville Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial gifts be made to support the prison ministry of Rev. & Mrs. Dennis Morgan of Lower Lights Ministries, who have faithfully ministered in numerous prisons throughout several states for decades.

Monetary gifts may be made through the Martinsville Church of Truth, via the website www.mcotva.com and will be forwarded directly to Rev. & Mrs. Morgan in support of their prison ministry.
