Glenda "Michelle" Kidd Harrell

Glenda “Michelle” Kidd Harrell, 62, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Sovah Health. She was born September 19, 1964, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Douglas Stokes Kidd, Sr. and the late Ruby Marie Kidd.

Michelle was of the Christian faith. She had a huge heart and was known for the love she freely gave to those around her. She especially cherished her nieces and poured so much of herself into their lives. A true homebody at heart, Michelle found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She loved listening to all kinds of music and had a special love for animals. Michelle’s caring nature was evident in the way she loved both people and animals, and she would have gladly taken in every animal she could if she had a farm.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Theordore “Ted” William Harrell; sister, Deborah Reed (Randy); brother, Douglas Kidd, Jr.; nieces, Taylor Reed, Allyson Kidd, Abby Nies, and Sally Rives Seiy; nephew, Wes Seiy; sister-in-law, Lisa Seiy (Eric); her beloved dog, Missy; other family members and friends.

Although services will be private, the family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and care shown during this time of grief.
