Mary Pansy Marie Janney

Mary Pansy Marie Janney, 70, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wayne Janney Sr.; son, Jessie DeWayne Janney; and special granddaughter, Autum Grace Janney and grandson, Noah Evan Heath.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Ragland (Randy), Crystal Perkins (Doodle), Heather Heath, and Kim Booth (J.W.); grandchildren, Mac (Kayla), Kelsey (Dalton), Tater (Lindsay), Roy, Christopher, Brayden, Ethan, Izabella, Brandon, Brent, and Jaylan; great grandchildren, Fred, Waylon, Cole, Raylynn, and Malachi; sisters, Betty and Sarah; and other loving friends and family members.

Mary loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of her eye. You could find her sitting watching Guiding Light and enjoying a glass of milk. Mary loved relaxing on the beach and playing Sudoku puzzles.

The family would like to say thank you to her Care Team at Southeast Family Medicine and North Roanoke Dialysis Center.

The family will have a Visitation on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd. Roanoke, VA 24019.
