Brinda Ann Beeson

Brinda Ann Beeson, 78, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away peacefully at Sovah Health Martinsville. She was born on October 29, 1947, to the late Amos Harden Helms and Bernice Murphy Helms.

In addition to her parents, Brinda was preceded in death by her beloved son, Tony Helms.

Brinda leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish the memories they made with her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Beeson; her daughter, Amy Dean (Kasey); three grandchildren, Roger Allen Helms, Dakota “Cody” Helms (Taylor), and Gabrielle “Gaby” Compton (Austin); two great-grandchildren, Jayden Helms and Cohen Compton; three brothers, Phillip Helms (Judy), Darrell Helms (Carol), and Willie Helms (Becky); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Brinda was a longtime member of Fairway Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully for 40 years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she treasured the friendships and fellowship she found through her church family.

Brinda had a special love for children and spent much of her life caring for and nurturing them. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and genuine love for children touched the lives of many. She also enjoyed gardening and hiking, finding joy in the beauty of nature and the simple moments of life.

Above all, Brinda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth, compassion, and caring nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to bring comfort to her family and loved ones for years to come.

A funeral service for Brinda will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at Fairway Baptist Church (9427 Fairystone Stone Park Hwy Bassett, VA, United States, Virginia 24055). The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Helms Family Cemetery.
