Carl Wade Wood

Carl Wade Wood, age 65 of Keeling, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Beacon Place Hospice, Greensboro, North Carolina. Carl was born April 10, 1961 in Danville, Virginia to Ann McLaughlin Wood and the late Harold Dean Wood. Carl was married to Bonnie Raynor Wood.

He was of the Baptist faith, and Carl will always be remembered as a kindhearted and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend to everyone who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife of the residence, and his beloved mother, he is also survived by his son, Dakota Wood; his sister, Tempie Wood Wade (David); his brother, Tony Wood (Nancy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his dad, he was predeceased by his brothers, Barry Dean Wood and Michael Alan Wood.

A graveside service honoring Carl will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Burial Park with Pastor Alan Murphy and Pastor Richard Motley officiating.

At other times, the family will receive friends and family at the residence of Carl and Bonnie.
