Krista Lee Beeson

Krista Lee Beeson, 61, of Bassett, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Stanleytown Healthcare after a long battle with diabetic complications. She was born in Martinsville on July 8, 1965, to Nancy T. Beeson and the late Bill Beeson. In addition to her dad, she was preceded in death by her four grandparents, Austin and Edna Turner and V. Y. and Johnsie Beeson.

Krista loved everybody and considered them all her friends. She had a knack for remembering everybody’s names. And she enjoyed volunteering at Riverwalk in Bassett where she made even more friends.

She is survived by her mother, her sister, Jan B. Jones (Gregg); niece, Abbey J. McClanahan (Daniel); great-nephew, Owen McClanahan; uncle, Don Turner (Rita); cousins, Donnie Turner (Anne), Caroline Turner, Ashley Turner (Aaron), and many more relatives and friends.

The funeral will be Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Wright Funeral Service Bassett Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
