Amanda Gaines Clifford

Amanda Gaines Clifford, 44, of Covington, died Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

She was born October 5, 1982, in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Bobby W. Gaines, Sr., and Darlene Hepler Gaines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a cousin, Angie Gaines.

Amanda enjoyed farm life and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Kenny Clifford of Covington; her brother, Bobby Gaines, Jr., and Stephanie Bogguess of Covington; two special cousins, Eddie and William Gaines of Covington; four uncles, Jackie Gaines, Gene (Linda) Gaines, Larry (Bonnie) Hepler, and Garry (Kim) Hepler; an aunt, Kathy (Wade) Givens; and other family members.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Lonestar Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
