Robert "Bob" Howard Moshenek

Robert “Bob” Howard Moshenek, 76, passed away peacefully at his residence on October 21, 2026. Robert was born in Danville, VA on June 24, 1950 to the late Mary Barker Moshenek and the late Elisha Carlton Moshenek. Bob was also predeceased by his loving wife, Mrs. Barba Burnett Moshenek.

Bob was of the Baptist Faith. He ran and operated Ringgold Repair Services for many years and was later a Mechanic at Lorillard Tobacco Company, previous to his retirement. Robert had a passion and very much enjoyed racing at South Boston Raceway and Kart racing with his son Michael.

Bob is survived by two sons; Michael Moshenek and wife Nicole of Norfolk, VA and Chris Moshenek and wife Lisa of Ringgold, VA; a sister Alice Lively of Gibsonville, NC; a brother; Ken Moshenek of Norfolk, VA; five grandchildren; Jessica (Randall), Willard (Parish), Elijah (Avery), Hudson, and Hazel; and his very special friend; Theresa “Terry” Linn Nangle.

The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Ringgold Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 10, Ringgold, VA 24586.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 2:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with Pastor Joey Bray officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the Moshenek family cemetery at 456 Countryside Drive, Ringgold, VA 24586. A visitation will be held on the same day prior to the service from 1-2:00pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel.
