Larry Eugene Moore

Mr. Larry Eugene Moore, age 75, of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday October 23, 2026 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born April 4, 1951 to the late Eugene Rufus and Betty Lou Wright Moore, Mr. Moore was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will truly be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Moore retired from Quality Mills and began a lengthy career with Time Warner Cable Company. A larger-than-life figure, Mr. Moore was an avid bowler and could often be found riding his Harley Davidson Softail. Mr. Moore stayed in a constant state of joy, and his infectious smile was a never ending accessory he wore with pride. Mr. Moore is survived by his life partner of over 20 years, Miss Marie Wright; daughters and sons-in-law Shelia and Anthony Stewart, Jessica and Brandon Hudson, April Collins and Enrique Deckland; son Brandon Moore; brothers and sisters-in-law Gary and Rita Moore, Randy and Dianne “Rabbit” Moore, and Dennis Moore; as well as 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a son, Richard Moore, as well as two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
