Frankey Laine Saunders

Frankey Laine Saunders, 69, passed away on October 25, 2026 surrounded by his family. Frankey was born in Danville, VA on December 23, 1956 to the late Estelle Lewis Saunders and the late Prophet Isaiah Saunders Sr.. He is survived by his wife Angela Jackson Saunders.

Frankey was of the Christian Faith and a member of Radical Faith Church, where he served as an usher and greeter. He also had a special love for Fishing and Old model cars.

In addition to his wife, Frankey is survived by three sons; Franklin Saunders of Roanoke, VA, Cameo Calloway (Carley) of Danville, VA and Howard Miller of Danville, VA; a daughter; Angel Collins; and four grandchildren; Tyrece Martin, Ice Allen, Mulan Calloway and Kira Calloway, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Frankey was predeceased by three brothers; James “Ed” Saunders, Andrew Saunders, and Prophet Isaiah Saunders Jr.; and four sisters; Nettie Mae Glass, Brenda Saunders Cardwell, Elizabeth Ann Saunders Hall, and Ophelina Saunders Carey.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 4:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. A visitation will be held at the residence of Anita Dillard, 342 Seeland Road, Unit B, Danville, VA 24541 on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 2-7:00pm.
