Eric Clark Baumgardner

Eric Clark Baumgardner, 62 of Bedford, VA passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, January 11, 1964 in New York, a son of the late Donald Baumgardner and Loretta Pecora Baumgardner. He was also preceded in death by his father & mother, former wife, Valessa Baumgardner & dear friend, Katherine Burton.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served on the USS Midway. He loved riding motorcycles and shooting guns.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Rice Baumgardner; his sons, Christian Dickinson (Samantha), Eric Baumgardner, Clark Penny; his daughter, Mary Dickinson Ehredt (Cory); his grandchildren, Bear Bower, Juno Dickinson, Zeppelin Ehredt, Jade Dickinson, Sayla Penny, Calin Penny, Titus Penny; close family friends, Tim & Melinda Chatfield, & their children, Wyatt & Landon, Pete & Susie Higgins & their family; brothers-in-law, James Rice (Lorna), Gerald Rice (Lisa),,William Rice (William O'Connor); fur babies, Miss Kitty, Ramseur; his grandpup, Diesel.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 PM on Friday, November 6, 2026 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford with military honors by American Legion Post #16 at 3:30 PM.
