Tammy Gayle Foster

Tammy Gayle Foster, 68, of Danville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. She was born August 23, 1958, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Talmadge Foster and Dorothy Wilson Foster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Wilson; her grandparents, Frank and Mary Power; and her life partner of 25 years, Timothy Edward Adkins.

Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially crafting and spending time outdoors, where she enjoyed the beauty of nature. She also had a compassionate heart, which she shared through her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Caring for others was more than a job; it was a reflection of her kindness and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

Tammy is lovingly survived by her dear cousins, whom she cherished, Wendy George (Chris), Brenda Emerson (Garland), and Penny Matherley (Fred); several other cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.

Tammy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Although no formal service will be held, her family and friends will honor her memory in their own special ways, reflecting on the moments they shared and the lasting place she holds in their hearts. May those who mourn her find comfort in these cherished memories and in knowing that her life will always be remembered with love.
