Beverly Wayne Helms

Beverly Wayne Helms, age 87, of Ironto, Virginia died, Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on March 18, 1939, to the late Elbert S. and Edith Cook Helms. He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Wayne Helms, two daughters, Julie Ann Helms and Lisa Kay Dowd; brothers, Walter P. Helms and Lenny Martin. Wayne was a self-employed concrete finisher for many years and longtime member of Riverview Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Annie Helms; daughter, Denise Hope Tunstall (Stuart); son, Brad L. Helms (Tyani); grandchildren, Leon East, Robert East, Julee Reedy, Justin Lochner, Kayla Early, Wesley Helms; six great-grandchildren; and special longtime childhood friend, Pete Reese. Services will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank ACG Hospice for their care of Wayne, as well as all the neighbors and family friends.
