Frank William Moses
Frank William Moses, age 71, of Christiansburg, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home on November 4, 2026. He was born on May 30, 1955 in Christiansburg, Virginia, to John Moses and Thelma Moses-Gilmore. Frank graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1973 and began working at Wade’s Supermarket. He then worked for many years as a truck driver, and ended his career with Volvo. Frank will be remembered for his love and devotion to the Lord and to his family and friends, his goofy smirk, and his ability to make everyone laugh. Although he was notorious for living up to his nickname, “Grumpy,” he thoroughly enjoyed being a kid himself with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Along with a passion for music and singing, Frank also loved fishing and spending time at the beach. He is survived by his wife, Connie Moses; children, Cynthia “Cyndi” (Michael “Mike”) Hutchison and Mackenzie “Mac” (Lorie) Moses; grandchildren, Hailey (Dustin “Dusty”) Williams, Jacob (Samantha) Bonds, Morgan Hutchison, William Hutchison, Hannah Wirt, and Jonah Moses; and great-grandchildren, Avery Bonds and Raelynn Williams; his mother, Thelma Gilmore; sister, Karen (William) Dove; and nephew, Derek Dove. He is also survived by numerous extended family, many friends, and his beloved dogs. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Ida Mae Slusher Moses, and their unborn son, Amos; and father, John Moses. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the following: ACG Hospice, Virginia, and Candice Draper, Senior Hospice Liaison: his wonderful nurses, Jackie & Sarah; the staff at Radford Rehab Facility; Pastor Marcus Harrison and their church family at Fairlawn Church of God. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ACG Hospice, Virginia or to Fairlawn Church of God. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at Fairlawn Church of God, 7858 Peppers Ferry Blvd, Fairlawn, Virginia, 24141.
