Lester Scott

Lester Scott, 90, of Ridgeway, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Ferrum, VA, October 2, 1930, to George Robert Scott and Addie Mae Shively Scott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Sylvia Odell, Hattie Odell, Mattie Odell and Myrtle Odell; 4 brothers, Hosie Scott, Eldridge “Edd” Scott, James Scott and Bill Scott. Lester served in the Marine Corp and was retired from American Furniture where he was a foreman. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Ann” Dickinson Scott; a daughter, Kathy Wilson (Jay), 3 sons, Bryan Scott (Shana), Steve Scott (Carol Ann), and Raymond “Butch” Scott (Debbie); 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson, Meredith McIntosh, Matthew Scott, Samantha Scott, Hunter Scott, Sydnie Waller, Rustin and Sawyer Donavant; 2 great-grandchildren, Hailey Anderson and Addisyn George.
A floating visitation will be held Friday, December 4th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 5th at 1:00 pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Axton.
