Nehemiah Joseph Hickman

NEHEMIAH JOSEPH HICKMAN, 39, of Bland, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021. He was born November 7, 1981 in Princeton, WV, the son of Bobby Joe Hickman & Roberta Morehead Parker.

Nehemiah had the biggest heart in the world. He loved spending time with his son Dallas, who was the most important thing in his whole world and his reason to live. He loved riding four-wheelers and being out in the mountains.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Hickman, his grandparents, Robert & Lola Morehead and Robert & Atha Hickman, and an uncle, Douglas Hickman.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, his whole world, Dallas Joseph Hickman; his mother, Roberta Morehead Parker; his brother & sister-in-law, Jeremiah Daniel & Samantha Hickman; his uncle, Bobby Morehead; and his very, very special aunt Cathy & Todd Parker.

Strictly following the current Covid-19 restrictions, masks will be required during all services and social distancing will be followed. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Because of the current occupancy restrictions, the funeral service will be private. He will be buried at the R. N. Morehead Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Nehemiah’s honor to A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, 2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd., Pearisburg, VA 24134, to help with funeral expenses.
